Bertram

“Bertram” is the name of this dragon, created entirely out of paper and hot glue. He was created using the artist’s old childhood method of paper sculpting: Smooshigami. When they did not have the patience to learn origami, the artist created their own method of simply crumpling the paper into shape, dubbing it Smooshigami. This piece revived the old childhood technique and brought it to new heights, creating a huge paper dragon. This work embraces the creativity and innovation of childhood, fueling the artist’s inner child.
